VIENNA–
Pastries, puddings, and Lipizzaner stallions
|
 |
Apart
from the Treasury, the famous Steffl department
store, the Prater, and numerous other attractions, did you know
that Vienna also has many unusual museums? Museums have been dedicated
to Siegmund Freud, the Lipizzaners, trams, detectives,
and clowns. And you shouldn't miss visiting the Spanish
Riding School and the arts and crafts market on
Spittelberg either.
If you find walking over the cobblestones too tiresome, just hail
a horse-drawn Fiaker carriage. Annual highlights include the Vienna
Festival weeks in June, the international film
festival in October and the Christkindlmarkt at
Christmas time. From the Danube Tower you can let your
gaze wander over Vienna’s panorama while you dig into a good
meal. It’s worth flying Germanwings to the Imperial City just
for the apricot dumplings.
