PRAGUE–
A Walk over the Charles Bridge
|
 |
For
many people, Prague is the most beautiful city in Europe.
It wasn’t only Mozart who loved the place.
You can enjoy concerts with the music of the most prominent Prague
lover at the Villa Bertramka.
The main attraction is Prague Castle, which was
built in the last quarter of the 9th century. Today, the castle
is the seat of the Czech president. In the middle of the Royal Gardens
stands the renaissance pleasure castle of Belvedere, which today
houses an art gallery with international exhibitions.
The Mala Strana is recommended if you want to go
out. Lots of young people are out and about here in the baroque
quarter. And if you want to relax, take a romantic walk on Petrin
Hill. From Hlavni Nadrazi, Prague’s beautiful main railway
station, you can be in Karlovy Vary in roughly
two hours. Bach, Beethoven and Chopin relaxed here in one of the
85 thermal springs.

SHOPPING |
 |
Prague
is in a big hurry to become Westernised and, as a result, many of
the main stores and shops will seem very familiar to visitors from
Europe or North America. The most interesting shopping is to be
had at the markets and other informal settings.
The open-air Havel's market between Wencelas Square and the Old
Town Square is open from 08h00 to 18h30 daily
