Nice

Nice is the capital of the Riviera and fifth largest city in France located in southern Europe at the southeastern extremity of France. Nice is a privileged crossroad between the Alps, Provence, Corsica and Italy. The city occupies an exceptionnal natural site in the heart of French Riviera. It stretches over a coastal plain open soachward onto the mediterranean and bounded from East to West by a succession of wooden hills.
Nice enjoys an exceptionnal microclimate that has contributed to its renown for some two centuries. Open onto the sea, the city is protected from the winds by its hills, then, to the west, by the Estérel mountains and the Northwest by the barrier of the Mercantour Alps. The climate is always mild in winter and never too hot in summer, thanks to the sea breeze. You can often lunch on a terrace with no more than a T-shirt in February when the rest of France is shivering in the cold.
Which makes city Nice fashionable are italianate facades of modern Nice and also retained mementos from ancient past, when the Romans ruled the region from here, and earlier still, when the Greeks founded the city. This all make Nice the best base for visiting the rest of the Riviera.
Copenhagen
The capital city of Denmark, founded in 1167, has its own special character with its beautiful copper roofs and towers, historical buildings and also numerous squares with fountains and statues. The entrance to the port is adorned with the famous statue of the "Little Mermaid". The Copenhagen Card allows you unrestricted use of the public transport systems in the city as well as free entrance to many museums and other attractions.
When visiting Copenhagen, you should not fail to visit the Christianborg Castle, which is the seat of the Danish Parliament, Rosenborg Castle and Amalienborg, which is open to the public. The Viking Museum is another point of interest, containing an exhibition of Viking ships. The exhibition in the Carlsberg brewery will provide you with an insight into the history of brewing in the country and above all, this brewery itself.
The famous Tivoli amusement park in Copenhagen is open from the end of April to around the middle of September. Copenhagen is home to the largest planetarium in all of Europe. Art enthusiasts have the opportunity to come into their own in Copenhagen when visiting the National Gallery, the Thorvaldsen Museum and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art.
Manchester

Manchester with its rich heritage has played the important role throughout history. The first computer was invented in Manchester, the spinning jenny changed world industry forever, even the atom was first split here.
During the Industrial Revolution Manchester became the focal point of the northern cotton trade. Inventions like Hargreaves' Spinning Jenny and Arkwright's water frame changed the face of the world and Manchester was at the forefront of that of the technologically advancement of the 18th century. Now with the centre modernised for the 21st century, locals and visitors alike can enjoy the pleasant, friendly surroundings in a city that many people would name as their favourite in the UK.
Manchester is a city of concerts and theatres and is the place to see your favourite band or to catch a great show. The Manchester Opera House regularly puts on big shows and the tickets can be quite reasonable. Comedy Nights are getting increasingly popular across the UK and Manchester is no exception to this. The Comedy Store is located in the arches on Deansgate Locks and is open most of the week with some big names on show. Other comedy venues include Bridgewater Hall, The Palace Theatre and The Lowry amongst others.
Belle Vue Dog Track is Manchester's only dog racing venue and is a great evening out - even better if you win! The Hard Rock Casino located behind the Printworks is stylish but down to earth and has cheap drinks and good food.
Krakow

Krakow is the capital of the "Malopolska wojewodztwo", one of the most prominent provinces among the country's 16. Krakow is mostly cultural and historical place with famous Krakow tourist attraction Wawel Royal Castle. In the beautiful Old Town area you'll find numerous landmarks, museums, art galleries, music venues, theatres, university colleges, etc. on top of myriad boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. Krakow has severe continental conditions of Eastern Europe. Days are longest in June, hottest in July, and most beautiful in August, but Krakow's perfect springs fill the city with sweet-smelling blossoms from mid April through May and Christmas in Krakow is positively white. Krakow is the city exactly on the intersection of 20 degrees East and 50 degrees north. According to some cartographers it is the geographical centre of Europe. It is not difficult to come to Krakow from different parts of the world. The city is an important railway junction with a regular and reliable train network linking Krakow with other cities both national and international.
Amsterdam

Amsterdam is often referred to as one of the most colourful cities in the world. And rightly so! Where else do you find so many places of interest, famous museums, cosy pubs and fun shops and (flower) markets?
Amsterdam is one of the world's best hangouts, a canny blend of old and new: radical squatter art installations hang off 17th-century eaves, BMWs give way to bicycles and triple-strength monk-made beer is served in steel and glass 'grand cafés'.
Barcelona

Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is located on the coast and bounded by the Collserola ridge and rivers Besós and Llobregat. The city is less than 150 kilometres from the Pyrenees. Barcelona's location on the shores of the Mediterranean means that it enjoys a warm, welcoming climate and pleasant temperatures all year round.
Between the Barcelona district and The River Besos, the city has over four kilometres of perfectly equipped beaches which are frequented by its residents during most of the years. Barcelona also has an Olympic harbour which provides excellent conditions for water sports.
Rainfall is occasionally heavy, with levels of around 1,000mm per year. This helps to maintain the many green areas around the city.

There's far more to Mallorca than the holy triumvirate of sun, sea and sand. Fight your way past the army of tan-seeking tourists, and you'll discover Gothic architecture, hilltop villages, olive groves and hidden beaches. If you're after something a bit crazier, there are 24-hour parties galore.
Roma

It's hard to say what you'll find most breathtaking about the eternal city - the arrogant opulence of the Vatican, the timelessness of the Forum, the top speed of a Fiat Bambino, the millions of cats in the Colosseum, trying to cross a major intersection, or the bill for your latte.
When in Rome make like the locals and souse your senses in the glut of pleasures the city has to offer, from the grandiose thrill of feeling centuries of turbulent history under your feet to the small but potent intoxication of eating chestnut gelati on a hot day.
Warsaw

Many people still have an image of Warsaw as a dull concrete jungle, a wasteland of Soviet-era housing with little appeal. The city does undoubtedly have its fair share of problems and whole swathes of its suburbs are indeed dominated by the less-than-imaginative creations of communist-era architects. But there is far more to one of Europe's most underrated cities, with a string of things to see, an impressive cultural scene and an increasingly lively nightlife. Warsaw is a real survivor - the city's current day existence is impressive in itself.
